Yes, luxury vinyl tile flooring (LVT) is waterproof. It is part of the overall umbrella of luxury vinyl flooring (LVF) which is a layered product. It has a tough core of vinyl composites that, combined with a top clear melamine wear sheet, makes it resistant to moisture.  It also gives the floor exceptional durability.  Spills sit at the top so they wipe off easily.  The floor won't scratch or show foot traffic wear and tear.

DCO Flooring is a top floor retailer located in Leesburg, FL.  We’re locally owned, so we are familiar with the area and its regional trends.  We can offer customer service and knowledge not found in the Big Boxes.

What is LVF?

LVF is a newer, more advanced, version of standard sheet vinyl. While traditional vinyl sheet has always been highly praised for its functionality, LVF is thicker and more durable.  It has even more waterproof protection and a greater number of design options.

LVF is a realistic mimic of wood, tile, or stone.  LVT means the flooring is cut into square-shaped tile-sized pieces that come in a dizzying array of colors and patterns. It can also be cut into planks (LVP) to mimic wood boards.  Although LVP is most closely associated with wood looks, it is often used in stone looks because of the larger format/fewer seams. Some feel that gives it a more continuous look, like that of quarried marble or some other stone.

Embossing adds depth and dimension with textured appearances, such as wire-brushed, hand scraped, weathered, or distressed. Right now, textures are big, as are light gray and white-washed colors (but color choices are big, so you're not limited to only that), so you can easily get a farmhouse/rustic or barn door look.

Easy to clean

This makes it ideal as a choice for flooring in The Villages, FL., an adult community where the emphasis is on fun, enjoyment, entertainment, and relaxation.  All this floor needs is a daily sweeping and periodic mopping with a manufacturer-approved cleaner.
